Pulse SaaS analytics dashboard concept — metrics overview

00 / Overview

Overview

Can a two-person team ship a real analytics product, not a demo of one?

Technology
  • Next.js
  • tRPC
  • PostgreSQL
  • Stripe
  • Redis
Delivered
  • Multi-tenant workspaces
  • Typed event ingestion API
  • Real-time dashboard charts
  • Subscription billing

01 / The problem

We didn't start with the screen.

Founders need to validate a SaaS idea quickly without building throwaway software. The MVP has to look credible, handle real users and be extendable once the idea proves out.

02 / The approach

We started with the system.

We scoped a tight MVP: workspaces, an event ingestion API, a dashboard and subscription billing. Everything else was deliberately left out, documented as a roadmap instead of built.

  1. SYS / 01Event ingestion through a queue; aggregates precomputed for the dashboard
  2. SYS / 02Workspaces, roles and billing as first-class models from day one
  3. SYS / 03tRPC end to end so the UI and API cannot drift

03 / The interface

Then we built the interface.

A multi-tenant application with authentication, workspace management, a typed event API, live charts and Stripe subscriptions — shipped as a foundation designed to grow.

04 / The build

The build

What it does

  • Multi-tenant workspaces
  • Typed event ingestion API
  • Real-time dashboard charts
  • Subscription billing
  • Admin & audit logging

Built with

  • Next.js
  • tRPC
  • PostgreSQL
  • Stripe
  • Redis

05 / The result

The result

A concept build has no client numbers, and we would rather show none than invent some.

What it proves is the approach: problem first, system second, interface last. Results sections appear only on delivered client work, with verifiable outcomes.
